Your Western Shooting Experience

Your Western Shooting Experience will take place on a private "Western Town" set on an established shooting range located south of Loop 410 in San Antonio, TX (see map below). You will have the opportunity to shoot at a wide variety of silhouette and reactive targets. Each shooter will be provided with about seventy-five (75) rounds of ammunition which can be applied to your choice of revolver, rifle, and shotgun. SAWS staff members are not employees of the shooting range, hence the requirement for sufficient prior notice. SAWS may be unable to accept reservation requests made less than 72 hours in advance of the desired date and time. Cost is $135.00 per-person plus tax and fees.

Reserving Your Experience

SA Western Shooting provides a Western Shooting Experience by appointment only. Please call SAWS at 210-213-9812 prior to making reservations should your party include persons with special needs. Appointments may be requested using the Reservations form. Questions about our services may be submitted using our Contact form. Foreign nationals are welcome!

Our Western Shooting sessions start at 10:00 AM weekdays on the date reserved. Sessions can last up to three hours. We are closed on Sundays. Saturday sessions may be available as the host range availability and operating hours permit.

Client Group Information

Client groups are normally limited to 8 shooters. With a minimum of two weeks advance notice, larger groups may be accommodated. The minimum age for participants is 18, unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Photo ID is required. Participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied at all times by a parent or legal guardian. The minimum age for participants (including observers) is 11 years of age. Any shooter or observer who fails to follow all range safety rules, policies, or procedures will cause the immediate termination of their session without refund. For our smaller clients, .22 caliber rifles and revolvers are available with prior notification.

Refund Policy

A full refund will be made should a cancellation be caused by circumstances such as extreme weather conditions. Otherwise, a US$25.00 cancellation fee will be charged to the client if a reservation is cancelled within 72 hours of a confirmed (paid-in-full) session. No refunds for "No Shows" or for sessions cancelled after 5:00 PM the day before a scheduled session.

Your Safety

We provide real guns and real ammunition; therefore, we will provide instruction in the safe handling and shooting of all guns. All local, state, and federal laws relating to the handling or shooting of firearms will be observed. All participants, guardians, and observers must attend the range safety and firearms-handling instruction session. Eye and hearing protection will be provided, and they must be used by everyone on the range during the Western Shooting Experience. Absolutely no alcoholic beverages are permitted on-site. Unruly children will be sold to the Comanche.

What your experience does not include:

  • No "fast draw"
  • No spinning or twirling of firearms
  • No "High Noon" face off with another real, live person
  • No firing of client-provided ammunition
  • No carrying or use of loaded firearms away from the designated firing line
  • No alcoholic beverages on-site. SA Western Shooting reserves the right to refuse service to anyone suspected of being impaired during the shooting session

Preparing for Your Western Shooting Experience

There will be ample opportunity to photograph and videotape your Western Shooting Experience. "Come as you are," or wear your finest Western regalia. Wearing closed-toe shoes is strongly recommended.

Transportation to and from the shooting experience is the responsibility of the client. SA Western Shooting LLC can provide information and recommendations for taxi services on request.
